Hello, I was bored and just browsing the web, when I found something interesting. just thought i'd share it here. turns out you can actually stream audio files uploaded in drive to QC playroom. here's how you do it:

1. make the audio file public. go to your drive, and change the permission of that file so that anyone with the link can access it.
2. get the ID. coppy the ID in the link, the ID is the part after https://drive.google.com/file/d/, untill the next / (slash) without including both slashes.
3. build the streamable link. once you coppy the id, write https://docs.google.com/uc?export=open&id=<ID>. replacing <id> with the actuall ID that you coppied.

example:
if the drive link is
https://drive.google.com/file/d/123lVNuJd3dFiD9Qa51lq8s1Av0KJyIXD/view?usp=sharing
then the streamable link is
https://docs.google.com/uc?export=open&id=123lVNuJd3dFiD9Qa51lq8s1Av0KJyIXD

yes, that is the right addon. It's in fact very useful even for us not using Google Drive because it also supports OneDrive, so thanks for your great work!

@fawaz the addon is great! thanks for your contribution. may I suggest you to add youtube support as well in future versions. there is of course the concern of which format the link should give when converting youtube videos, maybe you can add a setting to set the default format for youtube links. thanks

what would happen if you just copy the ID

The watch V id if that's what you mean won't work. That is youtube's own custom generated URL for the frontend of youtube that wraps their internal video playback services and servers. There are several methods of converting these, both on the web and usable via webscraping/API but neither I will mention here because of the legal grey area and this si why I think it may be difficult to implement it in the addon as well. In case of db and g drive the links are literally right there with a few changes, it's not like you are using some external service to get access to things you shouldn't, as far as I know.

Ya, that was my concern back in the days when I was developing the addon, but now a days I see there are addons to download from youtube in the addon store. I didn't try them but it just makes me wonder about the review process for addons these days.
